Below is a snapshot of one of the judges who has volunteered to judge this year’s mEYE World Photographic Competition. The Macular Degeneration Foundation is grateful for all the judges’ contribution. 

Ita Buttrose AO, OBE

Ita Buttrose is one of Australia's most admired business women and an accomplished communicator advising corporate as well as community and welfare organisations. As Patron of the Macular Degeneration Foundation, Ita works tirelessly to promote the cause of Macular Degeneration across Australia. Her personal representation of the disease and her popularity as a famous Australian identity has contributed enormously to helping the MD Foundation achieve its goals.

Ita has been made an Officer of the Order of Australia for her services to the community particularly in the area of public health education.  She is also National President of Alzheimer's Australia and Vice President Emeritus of Arthritis Australia.
